Tamiya’s Semovente Da 75/18 spg built as wreck with some scratch built interior parts. I also made a small base and sculpted two children figures, all to resemble some archive photos from Budapest ’45 I’ve found on the Web.
When Bronco released their 1/35 scale GAZ-69 kit, I was thrilled with the amount and quality of detail it featured, but at that time, I didn’t have any idea how to take advantage of this. However, this changed when I found a photo of a GAZ belonging to the IDF, taken during the Yom Kippur War. The picture showed a vehicle which was damaged by its crew, in order to make unusable for the enemy, and then abandoned on the desert. This was a perfect subject to build, using Bronco’s kit as the basis.
